Atty. Edward James A. Dy Buco is one of the recent appointed government officials of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group (AOCG) of Bureau of Customs. Atty. Dy Buco, a Visayan and a native of Culasi, Antique finished his Juris Doctor degree at the Ateneo de Manila University Law School. He passed the Bar Examination in 1994 and rendered public service as Provincial Board Member in his hometown from 1995-1998. After his short stint as public servant, he became the managing partner of his own firm, the Mosquera-Dy Buco Law Office. He also taught law at the Mindanao State University for three years. From 2002 to 2014, he had served in various positions in Bureau of Customs. He became the Deputy Collector for Operations of the Port of Davao for 2 years. He was also named Officer-in-Charge of the same District and chiefs of different offices in Cebu and Davao.
